Produced between 1987 and 1994, the Matrix 1000 distilled the voice architecture of the acclaimed Matrix 6 into a compact, single rack-space module. Despite its sparse, knob-less front panel, the Matrix 1000 became one of the most widely used analog modules of its era, prized for its lush pads, thick basses and unmistakably warm Oberheim character.
