An original U.S. one-sheet poster for Melinda (1972), the action thriller starring Calvin Lockhart and one of the earlier films associated with the emerging Blaxploitation movement.

The poster comes from the personal archive of DJ Amir and was acquired in the early 1990s from a Black-owned VHS rental store in Boston. The store’s owner had previously worked at an independent Los Angeles movie theatre during the 1970s, preserving original theatrical posters after each film completed its run.

An authentic theatrical-release example rather than a later reproduction, the poster has been carefully stored for decades and remains a scarce survivor from the golden era of Black independent cinema.
