A complete production archive relating to The Wedding Present’s celebrated ‘Kennedy’ EP, documenting the release across multiple recording and mastering formats.

The collection includes an original Utopia Studios acetate featuring handwritten track information for ‘Kennedy’, alongside a DAT mastering production format and tape cassette used during the EP’s development for release. The materials capture a transitional moment in recording history, when analogue reference discs, cassette formats and emerging digital mastering technologies were routinely used together throughout the production process.

Handwritten labels identify key tracks including ‘Kennedy’, ‘Unfaithful’, ‘It’s Not Unusual’ and ‘One Day All This Will Be Yours’, providing a direct connection to the working materials created during the EP’s production.

Taken together, these formats offer a rare insight into the technical workflow behind one of The Wedding Present’s defining releases and preserve multiple stages of the recording, mastering and manufacturing chain.

A percentage of Chris Allison's proceeds from this collection will be donated to Restore The Music charity (restorethemusicuk.com), a social impact charity that addresses systemic inequality in music education by providing capital grants to state schools in areas of high socio-economic deprivation.
